Following Metro construction completion Schulze+Grassov has helped the RCRC to develop strategies for the improvement of the visual experience of the surrounding city.
The City of Riyadh is nearing completion of the world's largest rapid transit system project, with 85 stations and 180km of tracks. The project will offer citizens new transportation alternatives in a city renowned for its car-dependency. Schulze+Grassov is helping to transform the Metro environment.
As the Metro network assumes operation, the citizens will experience a new city from below and above the ground. This will generate wonderful views of distant desert mountains and lush green wadis cutting through the city. Our innovative framework will improve the visual experience of nearby urban environments to ensure that the system is adopted positively by the Metro users. We are helping to transform urban quality in a metropolis of 7 million people experiencing rapid urban growth.
