London is struggling to deliver its housing targets as the city is expected to grow by more than 1 million new inhabitants by 2030. Schulze+Grassov were asked by Grosvenor, the development company of the Duke of Westminster, to draw up a framework plan for 2,500 new homes south of the River Thames.

Our focus on building strong urban communities is always underpinned by development frameworks that prioritise the public realm as the primary ordering system of places where people encounter one another. We were hand-picked by Grosvenor to draw a plan to test the necessary development needed to align their sustainability goals from social and economic perspectives. Our work informed the final plan approved by the Mayor of London in 2019.
