S+G Connect City Administration & Citizens
The City of Copenhagen is preparing to adopt the successor strategy to the successfully implemented Metropolvision 2015 city development strategy. A new local government focus on getting closer to the many different sections of an increasingly heterogeneous urban society has led to a commission to survey and map existing citizen satisfaction with everyday life in the City of Copenhagen.
The innovative survey plan developed by Schulze+Grassov provided for ethnological interviews with a sample group of Copenhageners from all city districts complimented by data harvesting of 54.000+ Instagram images and thousands of Facebook entries. Processing and summarizing the data allowed the practice to identify trends in citizen opinion and to feed this into the administrations new city development strategy. We have helped the centralized administration of a growing metropolis of 1.2 million inhabitants to get a unique and direct window into the daily world of a diverse spectrum of individual citizens.
