S+G Transform US University Campus

Washington University in St. Louis is a prestigious and successful research-led private university with growing enrolment numbers. The university leadership has adopted a grand vision that will see the campus undergo significant physical change through the development of buildings and landscape works forming an investment of several hundred million dollars over the coming decade.

The university handpicked team of outstanding US designers and Schulze+Grassov to develop the East Campus Plan. The practice takes responsibility for a wide range of public realm planning and design tasks to create a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly environment for 8000+ students, faculty and staff. New space for teaching, research, food services and admission services will be built replacing existing parking lots creating a transformed interface between the campus, surrounding communities and Forest Park.
