S+G Working with Creative Industry Hubs
Moscow has a growing housing sector that spans from industrial system-built housing for the masses at one end to a high-end market with incredible one-off apartment homes. In the neighborhood of Vorontsovo Pole we can see a major transformation in progress at the moment, with high quality housing emerging in a lush and green urban district that contains wonderful old churches and fronts onto the River Yausa.
Louise Grassov and Oliver Schulze developed a concept masterplan that will increase the housing stock and build new space for artists and designers at the ground floor levels. Occupying the ground floors of new and renovated buildings, space for artists and designers will be subsidized by values in the housing sector. The plan includes state-of-the-art street design and a great new neighborhood square.
